Creative Portfolio
As a maker, I have practice in photography, videography, woodshop, metalshop, sewing, weaving, embroidery, and painting. I love drones, 3D printing, and casting, and have a large collection of mixed-media and cross functional projects to share. These range from art to E-Textiles to functional design pieces.
CINEMATIC DRONES
From 2017 - 2018, I owned and operated a small aerial photography and cinematography company called Cinematic Drones. I worked with real estate agents, bloggers, and equestrians. Notably, I worked with 180-Turning Lives Around, a non profit to provide safety to victims of domestic violence, to get drone shots for a fundraiser.
E-TEXTILES
At the intersection of textiles and robotics are E-Textiles, in which one can embed electrical circuits into fabric. Shown on the right is a prototype for a handbag that knows when it is zipped - the circuit closes and the LED is powered when the zipper is fully shut. This can be used in security applications to prevent pickpocketing.
TECHX
I care deeply about the social and economic issues of the world around me. During the first outbreak of COVID-19, I decided to use my online presence to share my thoughts and research on these topics. I focus on the intersection of technology and various issues as a way to brainstorm how I, as an engineer, can make a difference for the better.
PHOTOGRAPHY
As a world traveler, I dabble in film, drone, and nature photography. I also worked as an executive assistant for Tina Fields Photography from June 2020 - August 2020, for which I photographed socially distanced family photoshoots and managed equipment.
WEAVING & TEXTILE MEDIA
I love to express myself through textile art. I have been weaving, sewing, embroidering, and quilting for over a year and enjoy building my skills in these areas. I have a passion for making and would love to make almost everything I own someday, specifically clothes and furniture.
